The PODS Community is proud to launch the PODS Learning Management System (LMS) — a centralized, member-only portal built to support training, knowledge sharing, and pipeline-data excellence. With the PODS LMS, you get access to an extensive library of training modules, webinars, white papers, technical documentation, data dictionaries, and quizzes — all tailored around pipeline operations, integrity, maintenance, and spatial data management.
Through the LMS, you can engage directly with the latest developments in the PODS 7 data model (including Utility Network integration and ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing), and explore pipe-centric PODS Modules built for real-world pipeline and asset-management workflows.

Data Resources
As part of your PODS Membership, you have unlimited access to the PODS Data Resource Center providing thousands of live GIS datasets managed by global atlases and government entities, including weather radar, lidar, orthophotography, and emergency response data. These datasets are live, free to use, and do not consume server space, and integrate seamlessly with Esri platforms for risk and integrity management.
These links contain multiple feature services, often managing up to 200 unique GIS datasets.
Benefits of these Datasets:
- Data is free to use and managed by Esri’s World Atlas and/or government entities.
- Data is live, meaning that as the data owner (such as USDA, Gulf Online Mapping or the Texas Department of Energy) updates this data, the PODS member immediately sees the updates.
- Data is hosted and published by the data owner over the internet; there is no need for the PODS member to download or copy the data, which would take up room on servers.
- Wide variety of datasets:
- Realtime weather radar/storm data
- Public Lidar data
- Orthophotography
- Emergency Response data for natural disasters (i.e., hurricanes)
- Feature services are compatible with all modern Esri platform interfaces:
- Add to ArcPro maps
- Add to ArcGIS web applications
- Consumable by geoprocessing tools
- Can be integrated into calculations and notifications
Regulatory Resources
Members have unlimited access to Canada Energy Regulator (CER) updates as well as US federal and state pipeline regulatory information, helping them stay compliant and informed about pipeline safety and regulations through links to agencies like CER, PHMSA and state commissions.
As PODS grows, we will engage with our International Chapters to grow this dataset into the 40 countries that PODS is currently active.
