As a community, PODS is made up of pipeline thought leaders and innovators who share knowledge and expertise to design, build and maintain the only geospatial data model specifically designed for pipeline operators. Focusing on pipeline safety, single-system-of-record for pipeline asset locations and specifications, regulatory and integrity management, and inspection and repair analysis, our model has been implemented by over 200 pipeline operators (Natural Gas, Oil, Water, Hydrogen, Carbon Sequestration, etc.) in 39 countries, representing over 3 million miles of linear pipeline assets and systems including facilities, stations, etc. over the last 25+ years.
PODS Association’s international members collaborate in a dynamic environment where they share knowledge and continually improve upon the PODS Data Model and the pipeline community. Participation in PODS committees, forums, conferences, reviews, and other communication shapes the future direction of the PODS Data Model and ensures that your company’s business needs are represented, considered, and addressed.

The Role of PODS International Chapters
International PODS Chapters exist to foster local and regional networking, to provide a local voice to the PODS Board of Directors and to support the global PODS mission, vision and goals. The Chapter Principals will act as advisors to the PODS Board and, as such, are leaders in their industry and will be entrusted to oversee a team to organize and manage local content and activities as well as convey topical and timely information to the PODS Board and Community specific to their region. Our network of International PODS Chapters –Middle East, South America, Asia/Oceania and Europe are critical for achieving the global PODS mission, vision, growth and goals by acting at the local/country/regional level, working in conjunction with the global PODS Board and TCG (PODS Technical Committee for Data Governance).
Chapter Principals
The Chapter Principal role is reserved for an Operator Member who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and innovation in leveraging the PODS Model and Community to advance digital twin technology. Through their efforts, they strengthen pipeline safety, champion data transparency, and uphold governance standards.
As a Chapter Principal, they embody a commitment to global data standards and pipeline integrity, serving as a representative of the PODS Mission and Vision on the international stage. Their forward-thinking leadership accelerates the adoption of digital twin solutions, shaping the future of digital asset knowledge management and setting the gold standard for the industry.
Chapter Coordinators
Chapter Coordinators support the Chapter Principals by coordinating, organizing and helping to communicate about the chapter events, sponsorships, industry topics and community collaboration. This position will be held by a PODS Service Company member with high visibiltiy in the region so as to help facilitate growth of both new operator and service company members in the region.
