The PODS Association Release of PODS 4.0.2 for CommentsSupporting the pipeline community by providing the latest release from the PODS Technical Committee(Tulsa, Oklahoma – August 22, 2007) The PODS Association announces today that PODS 4.0.2 has been released to the association members for comments. Members have two weeks in which to make comments about the proposed changes. Comments on the proposed changes must be submitted by September 12, 2007. After the comments are addressed by the PODS Technical Committee, the final release will be issued. In September of 2006, the PODS Board of Directors requested that the PODS Technical Committee enhance the data model by performing needed “housekeeping” tasks. Some of the improvements to the data model have included minor corrections to table and field names as well as new table diagrams, including the Anode Submodel and Coupon-Site Submodel. Many of the changes were made in the PODS 4.0.1 release (May 25, 2007) and more changes have been made in this release of PODS 4.0.2. Changes to the data model include:
The Technical Committee is continuing to improve and enhance the data model. As industry volunteers, they are leaders in their fields. About the PODS Association: The PODS Association is charged with the specific mandate of developing and maintaining pipeline data standards and data interchange standards for the pipeline industry. These standards primarily include pipeline operations, facilities, integrity management and regulatory compliance. The Association manages and maintains the PODS data model. |
