Technical Committee
The PODS Technical Committee is responsible for ongoing maintenance and improvements to the PODS Data Model. In order to meet the needs of the members, the Technical Committee has subdivided into five groups. A more complete description of each group can be found at the bottom of this page.

Technical Committee Team Descriptions
The Technical Committee is comprised of six teams. Each team has specific responsibilities; however, coordination is required between the teams because the responsibilities often overlap. Here is a brief description for each team:
- TC Steering Team
This team is responsible for overseeing the Technical Committee as a whole, for coordinating between the two teams, and for communication between the Board of Directors and the Technical Committee. The leader of this team is the Board of Directors Liaison, who is a Board member, appointed by the Board. The other members of the team are the team leads from each of subgroups.
- TC Administrative Team
The administrative team is responsible for writing and maintaining the PODS technical documentation and documentation used to support the operation of the Technical Committee; examples include but are not limited to:
- Documentation for the model
- White papers
- Implementation Guide
- Technical Committee Operating Guidelines
- TC Data Modeling Team
The data modeling team is responsible for the data model; examples include but are not limited to:
- Making actual changes to the relational data model
- Maintaining the components of and making changes to the data model in PowerDesigner
- TC Development Team
The development team is responsible for the research and development of the standards; examples include but are not limited to:
- Working Groups
- API Specifications
- TC PODS ESRI Geodatabase Team
The PODS ESRI Geodatabase Team will manage the ESRI version and/or components of the data model.
- TC PODS Oracle Spatial Team
The PODS Oracle Spatial Team will manage the Oracle Spatial version and/or components of the data model.
